Lee Spring’s stock spring product listing has grown by almost 50% since its last catalogue was issued in 2005. A new 160 page 2007 stock spring catalogue featuring 5000 new products and listing 15400 different types of spring will make its first appearance at a UK trade show at the Fastening & Assembly Solutions exhibition, Cosford, April 26th 2007.
A new range of Lite Pressure compression springs as well as continuous length and battery spring products have been added to the catalogue. In additionally many stock springs are now available in 316 stainless steel.
Springs manufactured in 316 stainless steel present several advantages over 302 type stainless which have until now been the standard offering. Corrosion resistance is greater, especially in chloride environments, purity levels are higher and therefore colour is more consistent. All Lee Spring 316 stainless springs are ultrasonically cleaned as well as passivated to offer medical and food grade levels of cleanliness.
Lite Pressure springs meet demands for compression springs combining low spring rates with larger diameters. Manufactured only in 316 stainless steel, these high index springs have been designed to deliver from 7 to 35kPa pressure @ 80% deflection and are particularly suited to applications such as valves, pistons, syringes, motor brushes, dispensers, contacts and toys.
Continuous length extension springs meet demands for unusual applications or maintenance operations. Offered in 12, 24 and 36ins (304.8, 609.6 and 914.4mm) lengths in music wire and 302 stainless steel, they are designed to be cut to length to meet custom load requirements. Various loops or hooks can be formed on the ends of the springs using looping pliers. The wire and outside diameters of the springs match Lee Spring’s most popular stock extension spring products.
Battery springs provide fast, efficient and reliable contacts in most situations where portable power is required, for example, in self contained moulded battery compartments or tailored applications. Designed to adjust to varying battery lengths and provide secure, low contact resistance and dependable connections they are offered in four mounting configurations – interior, exterior, adjustable and double - all of which have been developed to work with the most popular battery sizes.
The new catalogue amounts to a collection of literally millions of products that confirm Lee Spring’s position as a leading global supplier of stock springs.
